While you’re traveling, here’s a way to help end illegal wildlife trade and protect endangered species. The Wildlife Witness app allows tourists and locals to report any suspected wildlife trade by taking a photo, pinning the incident to a map and sending these details to wildlife authorities at TRAFFIC (the wildlife trade monitoring network) to investigate.

On the app, you can also learn about wildlife affected by trade and what to look for. According to Taronga Conservation Society Australia, today alone, 60 elephants will be killed and 12,000 bears are sitting in cages as part of the worldwide demand for wildlife products. The app is available for free at the App Store and Google Play.
